近くのトラックフィールドへ
I was still weak from a cold I got last week, but I took my son Akatsuki out for a walk to the track field by my house.
すると何やら前方がにぎやか
カーニバルやってる
ちょっとのぞいてみたら
there was a carnival right next to the field. I stopped by to take a look at it.
いろんな乗り物あったけど
There are some rides, but
曉と一緒に乗れるのは
これかなー
あっ でもちょっと大人は乗れなさそう
we both can ride this maybe… mmmm no…, adults won’t fit there.

これなら楽しめると思ったら

He’s in sleep. Great timing, right? It’s ok, though. It happens a lot to me lately, I’m used to it now.
というところへ行って来ました。
Carlsbadにあって
ちょっと遠いからどうしようかなーと思いつつ
冒険してみました
We went to The Flower Field in Carlsbad. It’s kind of far from where we live, I wasn’t sure if Akatsuki can handle the trip, but we tried.

He looks like his battery is running out. He wasn’t interested in flowers unfortunately, but he stares at dirt instead.

Naissance presented their Fall/Winter 2013 – 2014 F/W collection in Tokyo today!!!!
今日はnaissance２０１３−２０１４秋冬ファッションショーが東京でありました！！
Michael was in the Naissance show !! It was awesome !!!!!
マイケルがnaissanceのショーに出てとても良かったよ！！！！
ショーの後はマキちゃん達と写真取ったよ！！！
お食い初めでした
産まれてもう１００日以上は過ぎていますが
お宮参りもしていないし
何か日本のお祝い事をと思い
The event we had was “Okuizome” it’s a japanese ceremony to celebrate baby’s first meal on 100th day. Akatsuki is actually 111days old when we had this event, but I really wanted to have some traditional ceremony since we didn’t do much Japanese celebration here in LA.

どんだけ鯛食べるん？って感じでしょ
お祝いで頂いた鯛、
まさかこんなに大きな鯛とは。。。
でも、「大は小を兼ねる」とも言いますしね
ありがたく、塩焼き、お刺身、お吸い物、次の日の鯛飯、鯛茶漬けまで
美味しく頂きました。
で、主役はといいますと
Tadah! it looks out of balance?! it’s a part of entertainment, though. The menu was Grilled Red Snapper, Red Snapper Sashimi, Gameni(variety of cooked vegetables), Octopus Sashimi, Pickled Plum, Clear soup, Mochi Rice with Red Bean, Fruit Short Cake. How much Red Snapper are we having?! It was a gift from Susumu’s friend, we had no idea it’s gonna be this big, but it’s better to be too big than too small. We had it grilled, sashimi, broth for the soup, and next day we had snapper rice and snapper ochazuke. The lead is

not in a good mood. We wanted to take better pictures, but it took quite long time to prep, so it was already 9pm. He looked so sleepy. This picture wasn’t that bad.
とにかく機嫌悪くて写真どころじゃなく
しかも
このイベントで重要な「食べるふりをさせる」事を
すっかり忘れてしまう両親
なっなんて親！
気づいた頃には料理は半分食べ終わった頃
慌てて残りの料理で食べさせるふりをしました。
ふーっ
寝付いた頃にはへとへとな我々
こういう企画は
日中にやる事、
計画的にやる事と反省
とにかく
生誕１００日おめでとう
将来食べ物に困りませんように。
これからも健康でありますように。
Anyway, he wasn’t happy, so we couldn’t take good pictures, moreover, we totally forgot to pretend to feed him solid food, that was like the high light of this ceremony. We noticed when the dinner was halfway through. We were panic and finally did it with some left over. What parents…
Phew, we were so exhausted by the time Akatsuki went to bed. We leaned something today that the event for baby should be held during a day and need to be organized ahead of time.
Anyhow, congratulations to 100days- old- son, and we wish him a life of abundant food without hunger and good health.

最後の挨拶なんて
何も用意してなかったし
何だか予想以上の
シャワーで少々圧倒された私。
こんなにも多くの人に
注目されるのなんて何年ぶり?!?!
I didn’t prep for the speech really,
and I was just overwhelmed.
I haven’t been in a spot light
for a long time in front of so many
people.
案の定、途中で感激のあまり
涙、涙、涙ー止まりません。
あーあ。
皆さんに感謝の気持ちでいっぱいで
でも、言いたいことあり過ぎて
何かもうめちゃくちゃでしたが
とにかくありがとうございました
I knew it this was gonna happen
I just couldn’t stop crying
So many things I wanted to
say to everyone.
I couldn’t describe how much
I appreciate each one of them.
Anyway
all I can say is thank you
I’ll never forget this special day!
